Folder
2 ISO
Folder 2 ISO is
a small program designed to take a folder and make an ISO image of its
contents. It will use MS-Dos and Joliet formats, in most languages, to easily create
the ISO images while dealing with Filenames which are too large for the chosen
formats.
With Folder 2 ISO you simply select the folder you wish to
create the ISO image of, select the Image name and location, chose the
character set and volume name then Make the ISO. Since there are limits in most
ISO images to the length of filenames, Folder 2 ISO will select the max Length
of the Long Filename (LFN), however you can change this as desired. If there
are filenames which are too long, a folder will be made in the Temp Directory,
and all Folders and Files for the selected Folder will be copied over and LFNs
adjusted to the max length.
The character set is also an option you can change to meet your
needs. Folder 2 ISO will attempt to chose the correct Character Set; however,
you may desire to change it to create a different still image, for example one
compatible with MS-Dos. The descriptions of the character sets can be viewed by
clicking on the question mark (?) next to the character set selection. They are
as follows:
